Xten - designed by Pininfarina, manufactured by Ares Line and distributed in North America exclusively by Borgo Contract Seating For Pininfarina Extra, the objective was to raise the level of executive chair performance by combining the latest scientific, technological and engineering advances with the aesthetic features of products present in everyday life. Innovative components that make the Xten uniquely effective: Armtronic ® is an advanced system for height-adjustable armrests. Using the patented height control unit, any desired position can be reached easily by using a button located under the right armrest which activates a highly precise gas piston. Both armrests move simultaneously and continuously within a range of 70mm. Technogel ® uses body heat to conform exactly to the user's shape. Tests show that after 90 minutes, a 60% reduction of maximum pressure occurs with a foam and Technogel ® cushion versus a foam only cushion. The Lumbar Support ASPS (Active Support Positioning System) is a new solution that provides maximum comfort based on the difference in reaction to compression and on the active auto-positioning. Dynatec high tech mesh ensures a high level of comfort. The woven mesh is stretched onto the back frame and its elasticity evenly distributes the pressure generated by the user's back. The outer shell is available in four Ferrari colours: Metallic Blue, Metallic Grey, Red and Anthracite.
